Tapio Recruits European to Push Anti-Islam Falsehoods in Legislature

Hans Erling Jensen
Hans Erling Jensen

Among those testifying for the hateful, divisive fearmongering of Senate Concurrent Resolution 15 in Senate State Affairs Wednesday was Hans Erling Jensen of Sweden. Jensen is the international director of the Hatune Foundation, a German non-profit that provides relief to the poor around the world. The founder of the Hatune Foundation is Syrian Orthodox nun Hatune Dogan, who works in refugee camps and war zones, including the ISIS conflict zone.

This non-profit organization endorsed Donald Trump for President.

Senator and Trump flunky Neal Tapio apparently recruited Jensen to testify by telephone; at the end of his remarks, Jensen told the committee that they could get his contact information through Tapio.

Senate State Affairs chairman Bob Ewing let Jensen spend nine minutes of state time on the line spreading lies. Jensen called to say that crime in his home country is out of control due to Muslim immigrants. This claim is at best an exaggeration  arising largely from broader crime reporting and transparency in Sweden. Jensen repeated the false claim that Sweden is the rape capital of the world. He repeated the false claim that Muslims have set up “no-go zones” in Europe and Dearborn, Michigan.

Jensen appears to maintain that Islam offers all of humanity three choices: convert to Islam, pay a dhimmi tax, or dieJensen’s Twitter feed is a choppy stream of hate speech deeming all Muslims evil:

Sister Hatune Dogan claims that the United States has supported ISIS with aid and weapons in the interest of controlling oil:

Interviewer: You travel to countries where the Islamic State has a hold on many areas. Rumor has it that ISIS is getting funded by Western states like the US. What do you have to say about that?

Dogan: Yes, that is the truth. When it comes down to it, it is all about the oil. While travelling, I met several persons all saying that they had witnessed the US helping the Islamic State in different ways. One thing stood out because there have been so many people who had remarked on it: When the US dropped aid and weapons over the Iraqi city of Mosul that had been in the hands on ISIS since 2014. They simply said that they had made a mistake. The people I have spoken to, soldiers fighting ISIS in that area, told me that they had witnesses similar things around 8 times.

That the minorities that get attacked like they do in Iraq, are of course partly because of religions differences. But mostly it is because there are substantial amounts of oil in the areas where they live. Therefore it is very important for the US to divide as much as possible, making the areas unstable in order for them to come in and “rescue” the situation. This we saw in Libya, and we see it all over again in Syria. The US would like to tell us that they only want the “bad Bashar al-Assad” out, but it is not about that. Everything is about who controls the oil.

I spoke to a Turkish truck driver from north Iraq who said that he and four other drivers drove trucks full of weapons from Europe to the Islamists in Mosul. The weapons he told me was from Germany, but whether the German government has any knowledge of that I don’t know. But it is worrying when you hear such things over and over again [Sanna Hill, “Aid Worker Hatune Dogan: ‘ISIS Is Getting Help from the West,” Free West Media, 2017.01.03].

Sister Hatune Dogan contends that ISIS is Islam and Islam is ISIS and that anyone contending otherwise is a liar:

The mission of (Abu Bakr) Baghdadi, of ISIS, is to convert the world completely to the Islamic religion and bring them to Dar Al Salaam, as they call it. And Islam is not peace, please. Whoever says ISIS has no connection to Islam or something like this is, he’s a liar. ISIS is Islam; Islam is ISIS [Sister Hatune Dogan, in Erick Stakelback, “Nun: ‘Islam Is ISIS. Whoever Says Otherwise Is a Liar’,” Christian Broadcasting Network, 2016.01.02].

Jensen and Dogan display the kind of fear, exaggeration, and willful falsehood motivating many of our Republican legislators.

What happened to not wanting out of state people telling us what to do?

She could have polled Fake Noize viewers and gotten similar results without having to travel.

Sweden has changed the definition of rape so that any inapporopriate touching is considered rape. If you touch your secretary once per week for a year, that is 52 charges of rape.

There are other actions that can be defined as rape as well.

How many Swedes want to emigrate to the US ?? Or Norwegians ?? Or Canadians ??
    Finns, anyone ??

People from all walks of life commit serious crimes in SD and the USA every day. These criminals have varying backgrounds that are unrelated to their criminal acts, yet somehow the fact that the person accused of committing the crime is a Somali refugee has become the most important part of the story for the xenophobic website ele linked.

If ele or anyone else can explain why a criminal’s country of origin or refugee status should be included in a description of the crime he committed, that might be helpful. Otherwise, pointing out the criminal’s heritage adds nothing but another way to stereotype innocent people based on circumstances totally beyond their control, such as race or country of their birth.

  6. ele 2017-03-06 14:47

Oh, how about the fact that this particular alleged “criminal’ doesn’t think what he did was a crime according to his cultural ideology ?

Noor, who became a U.S. citizen about eight years ago, county officials told WND. [And, he still can’t speak English well?—ed]

Former Potus dumbass dubya has been a citizen his entire life -60 plus years- and nobody would ever confuse him with a Thespian. Must be Bushes cultural identity.

  8. ele 2017-03-06 15:55

What’s the difference between E.T. and a refugee? E.T. speaks English and wants to go home.
Sorry, couldn’t pass that up. LOL

ele, are you saying that in Somalia culture it is legal to attempt to murder other people and because this guy immigrated from Somalia he thought he could attempt to murder here without violating existing State and/or Federal law?

If he knew “attempted murder” was a crime here, then isn’t he like any other criminal who chooses to break the law?

Indeed, or would you conclude he really has no criminal culpability just because he was indoctrinated by a criminal Somali culture to the extent he had no ability to make his own decision not to attempt murder?

On the other hand, maybe like all other humans, he was exposed to good and bad cultural ideas and teachings, but then, as too many other humans have done, he chooses to commit criminal acts.

The fact that he is a Somali says absolutely nothing about the future behavior of any other individual person from Somali, group of Somalis, nor all Somalis. Using someone’s individual criminal behavior to propagate false, dangerous and harmful stereotypes about innocent people seems a practice deserving of reconsideration.

No, ele, we aren’t laughing out loud, and you could have passed that racist joke up, but you apparently lack the class to do so, and instead want to fly red herrings to distract us from the facts I present above that you can’t refute. Your assertion about Noor’s beliefs lacks evidence. Stop acting like Trump and support what you say…

…as I will now, building off Bear’s point: as I noted in my March 2 post on SCR 15, immigrants commit crime at lower rates than native-born Americans, and concentrations of unauthorized immigrants may correlate with marginally lower violent crime rates.

You cite one instance of an accused defendant on the lam; I cite broader statistics transcending anecdote. My indict of Tapio and Jensen’s thesis is stronger than your distraction-support.

  11. ele 2017-03-06 16:32

“A racist joke”???? Now that is funny. Cory, I guess you’re one up on me. BTW I was the one LOL I can see from your post that you’re the serious “racist”. I have to admit that I love posting here once in a while. You all are too funny. BTW Notice I didn’t say Y’all.

  12. Cory Allen Heidelberger Post author | 2017-03-06 16:43

We’re not here to brawl, ele. We’re here to figure out the facts. I find your cheap distractions tiresome and uninstructive.

Do you have anything to say about the substance of the article?

  13. Bob Newland 2017-03-06 16:45

LOL? I think that means “Licking Own Lap.”

  14. ele 2017-03-06 17:06

Substance of what article? Sorry did I miss anything here having substance? Example, Bob Newland post.
OK I had my fun. Seems like you’re losing people interested in your “articles of substance”. Till the next time. Maybe.
    Thanks again for the laugh.

  15. bearcreekbat 2017-03-06 17:27

ele, if you leave then “Te deseo viajes seguros.” But if you stay and honestly answer my questions about the Somali, perhaps we both will learn something new.

Unfortunately jerry, that isn’t enough to get people to actually solve the climate change problem by making as much clean energy as possible.

  17. Roger Cornelius 2017-03-07 11:59

Unfortunately, South Dakota is full of ele’s.

  18. ele 2017-03-07 12:55

OK two comments One to mike from iowa last comment. What’s the difference between refugees and immigrants ? Not a joke.
Two, can’t pass this one up as I’d be surprised this “free press” will post it Seems new light has been shed on exactly who IS doing “hacking”.

    This is appalling.

  20. Cory Allen Heidelberger Post author | 2017-03-07 17:13

More distraction from ele, not wanting to talk about the false beliefs Tapio’s people spout. Appalling.

  21. Roger Cornelius 2017-03-07 17:35

Here is what we should be talking about, today ALL 100 U.S. Senators sent a letter to Trump requesting additional security for Jewish centers across the country. I don’t know if or how Trump will respond to this.
It should also be pointed out to ele and others like her the increased hate crimes against Muslim’s and other minorities including the murder of an Indian man and the wounding of his friend in Kansas.
Trump did address the Kansas incident in his speech before congress last week.

  22. Cory Allen Heidelberger Post author | 2017-03-08 06:27

That’s a good connection, Roger. Elected officials like Tapio, with their xenophobic grandstanding wrapped in the flag, are encouraging hate speech and hate crimes like those you cite. Ele’s distractions make Ele complicit, as surely as the pickpocket’s partner who distracts the mark on the street.

As a few of you keep mentioning my name connected to different “issues”, these should keep you busy.
‘Thousands of UK girls may be at risk’
Speaking to the Independent, the UK National Committee for UN Women’s London branch said breast ironing happens “under misguided intention to ‘protect’ women and girls from men.”

In September, anti-female genital mutilation (FGM) campaigner and psychotherapist Leyla Hussein revealed she had met a woman in the UK who underwent breast ironing “because of her safety.”

“A couple of years ago I met a woman who had not had undergone FGM, but had also suffered breast ironing. And this was in the UK in the 21st century – because of course, abuse knows no time and place,” she wrote in Cosmopolitan magazine.

“The words ‘culture,’ ‘tradition’ or ‘religion’ might come up when trying to explain this absurdly harmful practice, but as in the case of FGM, these words are only thinly veiled excuses … I underwent FGM for my ‘safety,’ too.
