Dems on Parade: Bootz, Heidelberger, and Briscoe on Main

There’s not a lot of time for taking pictures when you’re marching in the biggest parade in South Dakota (16-block staging area, 20-block route, 160 entry spots—Hobo and Coyote partisans, submit your numbers!). But my team got a few as we got ready to march in NSU’s Gypsy Days Parade this morning:

Small but mighty: the Heidelberger for Senate parade wagon, ultimately distributing 2,700 Smarties packets and 2,100 campaign cards (plus a couple bottles of water for the campaign crew!).

District 3 House candidate Nikki Bootz, in the blocks, ready to march, by a good friend and supporter's house on Main Street.

The best campaign team in today's parade! Thanks, Hayden, Briggs, Colton, Samantha, Ryan, and Toby!

The Aberdeen American News offers photos of us Dems and more parade fun in its 2016 Gypsy Day Parade gallery. Don’t miss Brooks Briscoe in the decorated Alfa Romeo and, the kid favorite in our stretch of the parade, the Briscoe dinosaur (local actor Kurt Dean’s greatest role yet!). Go, team!

Probably wise of you to have your security detail of Ryan and Toby wearing campaign shirts, and march in the parade with you.

Do the long sleeved shirts cost more of a donation than the short sleeved ones?

Long-sleeved shirts do cost more than short-sleeved shirts.

Couldn’t win over your neighbors huh?

DR, I’ve been winning more neighbors every day. How many people put on shirts for Al on Saturday?

Cory you have worked so hard this year. Don’t let the naysayers get you down.

I think a GOP candidate could be a double felon and still get elected in South Dakota.

Thanks, Jenny! That work continues today… and every day! I still have to win over DR….

We have talked personally a couple of times Cory, and you have I have learned to agree to disagree.
I give you credit for you passionate stance on things. You stand behind what you say and what you believe.

And in that regard, DR, don’t you think you’d have more fun with me as your Senator?
